200th Post!
Wow, I can't beleive it! In honor of the 200th post I am going to have a little giveaway. If you would like a fabulous prize just leave a comment in the comments area of this post and I will draw for a winner on Monday. The prize is......a studio session! :-)
I wanted to share a picture from Brenden's 5th birthday celebration too, because really turning 5 is more of a big milestone than hitting 200 blog posts!
Wedding: Scott + Dawn
Scott and Dawn had the most beautiful outdoor fall wedding, right in their backyard. It could not have been any more perfect! Their family and friends were so welcoming and friendly, I felt like part of the family. :-) I hope you two are enjoying your honeymoon in St Thomas, I am totally jealous!
Enjoy your sneak peek!
xoxo
Scott & Dawn decided to see each other before the wedding, they had what we call the "first look moment" Its just the two of them and me far away with my telephoto lens. It makes the day run really smooth, because we took all of their portraits before.
This is their backyard...the perfect setting for a wedding!

5 Years OLD
It seems like over night he grew up into a big boy! Time really does fly, and I don't know how many times I have heard the phrase "they grow up so fast!" usually I just node and say yes they do. BUT really they do! It seems like just last week he was a baby in my arms, and now he is telling me things like "the sun is made up of gases mommy" and "the only way to get to heaven is through GOD" He has grown up in so many ways! Today I did again get the promise from him, that he will still give me hugs in front of his friends when he is 16. So I am going to hold him to it.
Happy Birthday Beez man!!

G Family
I met the G family on Sunday and we were blessed with a nice sunny afternoon. It was a bit chilly, but the kids were such troopers! Then we headed back to the studio to warm up and take a few more family portraits.
Enjoy the sneak peek!

Little 'H' was so funny taking this cute hat off that went with the sweater.
Fall
As we were sitting inside watching a few snowflakes fall, I thought are we really just going to skip over fall and head right into winter??? So I thought I should post a picture to remind us all what season we are in. :-) Even if the weather isn't ideal, we still have all the yummy fall foods to look forward too, right!?!

K Family
I was so happy to meet up with the K family again, they were part of my very first Mini Session. I took big brother's 1 year pictures, and now he has a new little sister who is equally as cute as a button. She decided to learn to walk just a day before our session, and she is like an old pro. Of course she didn't want me to get very many of her just sitting, because she wanted to show off her new talent. So cute!!!

2nd Shooter
While I was in Minot I was lucky enough to 2
nd shoot for
Mandi Carroll. Despite the rain and cold ND weather we had a great time and lots of laughs. :-) I am so looking forward to shooting with her next summer as well. The bride and groom had a
photo booth at the reception, so Mandi and I had to get in and take a few. Its a little different actually being IN a picture and not behind the camera. ha ha
You'll have to head over to
Mandi's blog to check out the picture from the
photo booth, wedding images and her fabulous NEW
blog.Labels: minot, North Dakota, Weddings
Tears!
This is a follow up blog from yesterdays post. I was telling you all a little bit about what was happening when I was 'trying' to take pictures of Gunnar and his mommy (and soon baby sister) and daddy. Brenden and Macs were running around like crazy men, Macs wanted to hold aunties hand too and be in the picture. So when we were all done, I said Macs can I take one picture of you? This is the reaction I got...
You would think I was torturing him with my camera! Gotta love the toddler stage!

Gunnar!
While home in ND I also got to take a few pictures of my other nephew Gunnar. These pictures seem so calm, but in reality they were anything but. My kids were running around like crazy men trying their hardest to get in the picture. I'll post of few of them tomorrow.
So here are a few of Gman!
xoxo
BTW, totally his mom's idea to give him the lolly BEFORE the pictures. :-)

Nephew Spencer
This is one of my sweet nephews! When all the boys get together it is crazy because all 4 of them are under the age of 4 right now. The house is never quiet, but they have such a great time together. It was so much fun to see Spencer, he is such a smart, talkative little guy. Love you buddy! Miss you already!

This is one of my favorites and so obviously I could not decide between color of b/w. :-)

T is almost ONE!
I can't beleive it has really almost been 1 year ago that little T was born. Time really does fly by. It was so great to see you guys again, and I am glad we got our little session in before the frigid ND weather and rain/snow came. :-)
Have a Happy Birthday T!!!!

We set up a little makeshift studio at their house and little T got to dive into his cake, oh was he fun to watch!

We are Family...
We all got the chance to get together this past weekend and it was so great to see my family. We always talk about getting a family picture when we are together, but for some reason or another things get so busy and we NEVER do, I did however get a cute picture of my brother and sister. Love you guys!
