I am not your traditional photographer! I like to let the "clients" be who they are...kids! I work with the children from a playful approach interacting with them to capture their personality. I try to capture the little things that you love about your children, the way they giggle on the swing, or twirl their hair when deep in thought. These are the little moments which will be so memorable to look back on.
I am a mother of two young boys, therefore I understand that kids will need a break to have a snack or babies need a change. I want it to be a relaxed and fun environment for both the parents and the children. Welcome to my blog!
Wedding: Chris & Charity
Sunday, June 28, 2009
What an amazing day we had with Chris & Charity. Their story goes all they way back to highschool where they were Prom King & Queen, and have been together ever since. I spent the morning with the ladies while they got ready, and what fun they were to be around! The weather was sunny and warm, perfect for an outdoor, summer, Wisconsin wedding. The ceremony was straight out of a fairytale with horse and carriage included. Thanks again, I was honored to document your wedding day. Enjoy your sneak peek!xoxo

How quickly a session can go from this...to this...
and then to THIS!
This mostly happens with my boys, but I just want to let you all know that I DO understnad when kids are shy in front of the camera, or they just plain don't want their picture taken. At that point I'll put my camera down and just get to know them a little more or talk with them about stuff they want to talk about, then they usually come around. :)
Wedding: R & J

When I first met Roberta & John I knew their wedding day would be just beautiful! They held the ceremony out at their amazing home, designed by John and surrounded by woods. They had all their family and closest friends there to celebrate the day with them.Congrats & Thanks again for giving me the honor of capturing your wedding day. :)

TWO
Wow, its hard to beleive my baby is now 2! Last night as Macs was saying good night to everyone Brenden said "See you tomorrow when you are 2!" So when I was rocking him a little before he went to sleep I got a little sad because it seems he grew up so fast and soon I won't be able to rock him at all. :( I guess thats life, and we have to hang on to the each little moment.Love you little buddy!

A little warning...I have not been the best mom about taking the "yearly pics", so you'll notice in Mac's 2 year pictures that he is wearing his pajamas. ha ha
Father's

I just wanted to give a little love to all the dad's out there.A special thank you to my dad, who is the most amazing, kind, loving, patient, supportive man I know. He has been there for all us kids through ups, downs, happy times, and sad times. His faith in Jesus is strong and has always been a Christian example to us. We feel so blessed to have DAD as our dad! He is also a Grandpa & the best Grandpa around, he spoils his boys most importantly with love, hugs, and kisses & his time, but also with candy, trucks, books, all the good stuff! Thanks so much Dad & Grandpa!!!!!!!! We love you!
I also want to give some love to Derek, my husband & such a wonderful dad to our boys Brenden & Macs. When he comes home from work I know he is exhausted from a tough day at the office, but he drops everything to run around & play with the boys. When the boys hear the door open, they yell with excitment..."Daddy!" He is a leader in our family and an example of a faithful Christian man for our boys to follow. Thanks dad, we love you!!!

Oh my goodness, my good photog friends brought their little miracle boy over today and was I in baby cuteness overload. He is seriously the cutest, snuggliest little guy and I could have taken pictures of him ALL day. He was so well behaved, he was alert and awake while we took family photos with grandma, grandpa, his uncle, mommy and daddy. Then he took care of some business and fell fast asleep. I was so honored to be able to take a few photos of the family. Thanks again for stopping buy I am so happy for you guys and your cute little family. I look forward to watching little A-man grow up. :-)xoxo

Tips & Tricks: Wardrobe Idea
I thought it might be fun to add a "Tips & Tricks" portion to the blog. So here is the first installment. So I would not by any means call myself a fashion expert, but from time to time people ask me what they should wear for a family session. I usually say bright, fun colors! Here is a little brown & blue combination that I think would be fun for a family session. I think I drew inspirations from Tim & Melissa's wedding. :)
